Boyan Rista is a multi-instrumentalist/writer/producer and inventor originally from Serbia.

Boyan’s production sound is influenced by soul and R&B music and features elements of jazz harmony, funky grooves, rock, and ethnic flavours and is usually driven by guitar riffs and lines. As his main musical influences, he names Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Steely Dan, Peter Gabriel, Earth Wind & Fire, Seal and Guns N’Roses.

Through his music, he tells stories of heartache, love, and relationships.

He often sings on his own tracks with the vocal commonly described as different, distinctive and unusual. Sometimes his music also features guest lead vocalists who bring their own unique character to the music.

Boyan has had extensive experience as a session guitarist in varying styles from Jazz, Rock, R&B, Soul, Brazillian to Gospel.

In the studio, Boyan likes to play most rhythm section instruments.

As an engineer, he enjoys spending hours experimenting with new and unusual miking techniques for live instruments searching for ways to realize his vision for the track.

Over the years he has collaborated with numerous talented artists including Zara McFarlane, Shakka, Baby Sol, Michael Kiwanuka among others.

Having pursued several successful inventions in the recent time, Boyan is looking forward to bringing new music now.
